I've been doing some pretty heavy research on buying a more professional camera in hopes of taking more professional pictures (ha, ha). I've always been interested in photography, and by looking at some pictures that people have taken - I just want to get into it more and more. I am so inspired and want to find a camera that will be able to take me to that next step. I don't plan on having a "studio" or taking pictures of people other than the kids, I'm more of a scenery kind of gal. But I love taking pictures. So I think I've figured out what camera I'm going to get...now just to get the money. No, but really, I'm going to get a Canon because I've had one before. There is a kit at Costco that comes with the camera, two lenses, gadget bag, SD card, and a bunch of other stuff. So I definitely think this is the way to go. And I want to have one before we head to the beach - perfect picture taking opportunities there. Hopefully photography can be my hobby and I won't get burnt out on it - i.e. scrap booking :) I'm going to post a few pictures that I really like, but the point and shoot camera that I have now just doesn't do these justice!

Camera Time!
Grrr...these keep posting backwards and if I type first, then I can't copy and paste what I wrote at the top. So read this from the bottom :)
May Thus Far...
Ok, so it seems to be a recurring theme - but this month has BY FAR been the busiest month yet! Yeah, yeah you might say - but it's true. We finished off the first week in May with Brad having the duty truck. He ended up with 40 hours of overtime, and I meant to put in addition to his 40 hour work week, not 80. But still, it was a lot!
I had a Scentsy party on the 8th, which was a total bomb! Only one person showed up, but hopefully the host can get some outside orders. I sent some mini scents to a lady that lives in Oregon and she had a basket party - so that helped me out there. I have another basket party on Saturday. So I hope this means that things are starting to pick up???
Josh had a field trip to the local high school for Farm Days where there are farm animals, craft projects and lots of tractors. He got SO excited because they got to ride the school bus to and from school. Very exciting! I will post pictures of that tomorrow...maybe. I felt bad because I had to bring Maddie with me and since that was the case, I could only watch Josh and Maddie and not be in charge of any other children. Josh REALLY wanted to be by his friends, and not around mom and Maddie. It's happening already! Ack!
On Mother's Day, Brad and the kids got me flowers and a card. Brad also let me "sleep in" and I got a pedicure. Very pretty toes and very relaxing! We also ordered in so I didn't have to make dinner. Pretty low key but nice all at once.
We've had a birthday party to go to, I had a purse party that I went to (which I had to bring the kids with me, ugh), plus my Scentsy parties, and I also ended up watching Brad's cousin's son for a day and a half. Which brings up a good point - we are DEFINITELY not having 3 kiddos! I don't think I could do it. I'm already used to having the kids being able to entertain themselves, having my hands free, no spit up, no high chairs, etc.
And we aren't finished with this month yet. I have a hair appointment on Thursday (thank goodness, I'm in desperate need of a color), Josh has to redo a hearing test since he failed the one at his 5-year appointment and get booster shots, and then the next weekend it's Memorial Day weekend. I'm ready for summer. Rest and relaxation...ha ha ha!

April
April, April, April...this was by far our busiest month. And I promise I will be posting pictures soon, but not today. So at the beginning of the month we had Josh's 5th Birthday party. I still can't believe that my son is 5. What is even more trippy is that he will be starting Kindergarten in the fall!!! WOW! Josh had a great party and he got a little 50cc dirtbike as a gift from us - which is absolutely loves!
The next weekend, Brad and I went to Bellingham for my friend's wedding reception. That was so much fun and I am so happy for Ashlee and Jeff. Brad and I left early Saturday morning and I got to watch Ashlee get ready for her wedding and see her hair and makeup. She looked absolutely beautiful! We got to see a few people from high school that we hadn't seen since high school, so that was fun too!
Josh finished soccer and I also got him registered for Kindergarten. Maddie is growing faster than a weed. She is quite the little boss and her newest thing is trying to order Josh around. She is quite the talker and is definitely showing us her independent streak...but I don't really think it's a streak. More like, just her personality! Boy, am I in trouble!!
We were sick a lot in April, all of us actually. It's been a long road of sickness for us. Maddie got an ear infection in both ears - which was followed by a 10-day course of antibiotics. Josh was sick for over a week and half. Brad got sick, and I did too. And the wind here has been outrageous!!! Brad and I weren't sure if we had gotten sick or if it was just our allergies. Right now, my mailbox is laying on it's side. And to top all of this off, Brad has had the duty truck since Wednesday night and has been on-call from the time he gets off of work until he goes back the next morning. So I think right now he is around 35 hours of overtime, plus his reg. 80 hour work week, and we still have 2 more nights to go.
So, I promise I will post pictures of Josh's Birthday party and from the months of March and April. So there, I'm caught up!
